Looking for a manufacturing partner for milled parts? Send us your technical drawing and, if available, a 3D model. Specify the material grade, quantity and required delivery date. Include any requirements for heat treatment, surface finish and quality documentation.
We will use this information to assess manufacturing feasibility and prepare a quotation specifying the scope of work and delivery schedule.
CNC Milling — Questions Before Ordering
What is CNC milling?
CNC milling removes material using a rotating cutting tool whose movement is controlled numerically. A machining program guides the production of features such as flat surfaces, pockets, slots, holes and freeform surfaces.
What information is needed for a quotation?
We need technical documentation specifying the component geometry, material, required tolerances and surface finish. Please provide a technical drawing and, where possible, a 3D model. Include the quantity, required delivery date, heat treatment requirements and any necessary quality documents.
What affects the cost of CNC milling?
The cost depends on the material, component geometry, machining time, number of setups, required tolerances and inspection scope. Batch size and additional operations also affect the price. In batch production, process planning and setup costs are spread across a larger number of parts.

Thanks to our advanced equipment and individual approach to each project, we can tailor machining parameters to the specific client requirements, ensuring competitive pricing and the highest finish quality. The CNC milling process covers a wide range of machining methods, including peripheral milling, face milling, as well as more advanced techniques like helical milling and freeform milling. Our company utilizes a modern CNC machine park, enabling CNC cutting, injection mold production, and manufacturing of complex components.
Our offer includes an individual approach to each project, adjustment of machining parameters according to technical documentation, and the assurance of competitive pricing.
Can I order a single part or a prototype?
Yes. We manufacture prototypes, one-off parts and production batches. Order terms are agreed based on the technical documentation, required operations and quantity.
What tolerances and component dimensions are possible?
Manufacturing capabilities depend on the component geometry, material, workholding and required machining operations. Please include the required tolerances and dimensions in your enquiry. We confirm feasibility after reviewing the technical documentation.
Can CNC milling be combined with heat treatment?
Yes. Sacher has an in-house heat treatment facility. Depending on the material and component requirements, we can incorporate heat treatment into the manufacturing process. The sequence of operations and any finishing required after hardening are determined for each component.
How is dimensional accuracy checked?
We define the inspection scope according to the drawing requirements. We use our measuring equipment, including coordinate measuring machines. If you require an inspection report or other quality documents, please specify this when submitting your enquiry.
What is the lead time?
Lead time depends on material availability, component complexity, batch size and current production capacity. We confirm the delivery schedule in our quotation after reviewing the scope of work.
